A real lesson about “Real Faith”
Hello everyone, this is Maxim Nazaire and this is my Fitness Journey:
I heard this on the radio today and I thought that I should share it with you, it’s an ancient proverb about an African tribe that needed rain for their crops. I thought it was an awesome lesson about faith.
A leader from an African tribe was trying to figure out what to do for his village that was about to go into a dry season. Everyone asked, “How are we going to eat? Our crops are dry and there is no rain in sight.” The tribe leader declared that everyone prayed and fast for the week. He then said that on Sunday they would reconvene. Pretty much he asked everyone to step out on faith and that their faith would be rewarded by rain.

So the villagers went home. They prayed and fasted all the way until Sunday. On Sunday everyone met up at the same spot where the tribe leader asked everyone to pray and fast. The tribe leader said, “You people do not believe!” The people said, “We do believe. We fasted and prayed all week-long. We do believe.” The leader of the Tribe replied, “If you believe, then why didn’t you bring your umbrella’s?”
That statement hit me like a ton of bricks. The lesson I learned from that story is that we can say that we believe all we want but are our actions are a reflection what we believe? Whether you believe or not, your actions will reinforce what you believe. Keep that in mind next time when your words and your actions don’t line up.
Believe with your thoughts, confess with your mouth, and confirm with your actions. Take these steps and it will produce success in so many areas of your life.
Thanks for reading, take care, God bless and remember you can be fit or you can be Fit2DMax!
I totally agree Max. In this season I really think God wants us to know that believing is a decision you make and not an emotion you feel. Two thumbs up for this post.

I like that, faith is expressed and determined by our actions as well as our words! Sometimes we find it hard to step out of the way and believe!

Yes Pauline. We all struggle with it everyday. If we continue to remind ourselves that everyday is an opportunity to walk by faith, we’ll stay more on the faithful path and experience the rewards that comes with it.
